Cape Coral Homeschool Co-op
Cape Coral Homeschool
Co-Op Community
Cape Coral Co-Op is a cooperative group of families that work together to offer enrichment courses for local homeschoolers. Past classes have included things like art, PE, music, foreign languages, science labs, etc. The topics are decided upon after discussions between both parents and students.
AGES
Our openings and age divisions shift each year but, currently, we have students ages 4-16 attending classes. Groups are broken down into smaller age divisions, as appropriate. Cape Coral Co-Op requires cooperation from all members and families are required to stay on location at all times. Parent jobs change throughout the year and there is a requirement for families to teach at least one session (which is usually 7 weeks long). Other jobs include assisting in the rooms, cleaning classrooms, etc.
LOCATION
We meet at a centrally located church within the Cape. For privacy purposes, an exact address will only be shared in cases of a scheduled tour. The group is all inclusive and there is no religious component; we simply utilize the space of the church that graciously welcomes us. Students attend classes on Wednesday mornings, with two classes between 10am-12pm.
COST
We are a non-profit group, run by a volunteer board. Annual dues are currently $200 per family and cover classroom supplies, special events throughout the year, group liability insurance, and donations to the church. Field trips are optional (on other days of the week) and any payments for them are in addition to the annual dues.
